The Computer Science for Fun Project: Teacher Support

We have undertaken a variety of activities to support teachers. We providing magazine resources (which as they are based on research stories teachers read and learn from as well as students) and give shows and lectures to students. Teacher's normally watch these talks too, and feedback suggests they can inspire teachers too. The following, for example, is a comment from a teacher on our post-talk questionnaire.

"After the lecture, one member of staff, said that his teaching method was inspiring."

We also give direct support in the form of sessions just for teachers as outlined below.
