SpyBots

Some bits of nasty code can be downloaded unknowingly, these are called spybots which can record all the keystrokes you make on the computer or watch all the internet sites you visit, often so that companies can build up information on your surfing habits. Adware installs itself and will pop up adverts to a company's web site even when you don't want it. Fortunately there is software around that can clean these bits of code out of your system. In fact these 'disinfecting' programs have themselves become big business.
